Despite M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender being a box office trainwreck, Nickelodeon is going full steam ahead for another The Last Airbender animated series set to air in 2011. Currently it has a working title of, “The Legend of Korra.“

Coming from the same creator-producers of the animated The Last Airbender series, The Legend of Korra will be based on the mythology of the previous series and focus on Korra. All that’s known about Korra is that she’s a she, she’s teenaged and according to Nickelodeon executive Brown Johnson, “hotheaded, independent and ready to take on the world.”

A female Aang? Alright, bring it on Nickelodeon!
