The much-anticipated drama ‘Playful Kiss‘ (aka Korean version of ‘It Started With A Kiss‘) has revealed its confirmed main cast aside Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min, and it already started shooting its first episode.

Actor Lee Tae Sung has been confirmed as JunGu, the male rival against Baek Seung Jo (played by Kim Hyun Joong) for the main girl lead Oh HaNi (played by Jung So Min). He will be the one loving guy who shows unfailing devotion to the girl when the male lead doesn’t. His character, according to the orginal story, is “a character with the energy of a Gyeongsang youth and a tough appeal.”

On the other hand, actress Lee Si Young has been almost confirmed to play Yoon Hye Ra, who has both the beauty and brains, and is a passionate tennis player. She will be the main rivalry for HaNi to get Seung Jo.

Other minor characters will be played by Jung Hye Young (the matchmaker for the leads), Yoon Seung Ah (HaNi’s best friend), Kang Nam Gil (HaNi’s father), Oh Kyung Soo (Seung Jo’s father), Jang Ah Young (girl jealous of HaNi), Hong Yoon Hwa (HaNi’s friend), etc.

In addition, a member of the production crew has announced that the shooting for the first episode has started: “Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min will start the first shooting of the drama on July 22nd. They have been preparing for the drama by reading their scripts, so we are looking forward to their acting on the first day.”

The drama is scheduled to premiere on September 1st.
