Jay Park/Jaebum held a press conference at Cine Theatres for his movie‘Hype Nation’on July 22nd, where he honestly answered questions regarding 2PM members and his struggles as a new actor.

During the conference, there was a popular question regarding his ties with JYP Entertainment: “We’re curious regarding your termination from your former agency.”

Although his associates tried to avoid this topic by saying only questions related to the movie is allowed, Jay bravely gave his short reply, “I don’t specially keep in contact with the 2PM members or any other former friends. While preparing for the movie, I exercise in my dorm or go to the PC rooms.”

Jay was also asked, “Was there anything difficult about filming,” to which he replied, “Because it’s a movie about b-boying, I had fun filming it.”

However, he added an unfortunate truth while showing a body covered in bruises, especially his elbows and wrist: “B-boying takes up a lot of energy. If I b-boy when I’m not in a tired condition, I can have fun while doing it and do it well, but when I’m low on energy, I can get hurt. Once, I was b-boying when I was tired and almost hurt my head… Also I coughed a lot while filming the movie, so filming was a little difficult in that aspect.”

In addition, Jay was given the script for the movie that day. He glanced over it carefully and said, “I’m not too worried about b-boying. It’s something I’ve always done. I need to work harder with acting, though. Korean script is more comfortable for me than an English script.”

Good luck on your movie, Jay!
