It has been reported that the main cast of The Hangover is heading to Thailand this fall to shoot for the sequel of this box office success.
The original movie is about four buddies who go to Las Vegas for a bachelor party and wake up the next morning remembering nothing that happened the night before. They then find out that the groom is missing and his wedding is supposed to take place the following day. Uh-oh.
The Hangover won a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture for a Musical or Comedy and is the second highest grossing R-rated comedy in the United States. That’s a huge reputation to live up to. Hopefully director Todd Phillips can make the sequel as funny and outrageous as the first.
From Las Vegas to Thailand, it sounds like a random place to make a sequel but I guess it makes sense. With Thailand’s transvestite shows, snake shows and elephant rides available to anyone, I can already imagine the misadventures the guys will have in the second movie.
