Nine Muses is an upcoming nine-member girl group that has been gracing the August issue of MAXIM magazine, showing off their sexy and sophisticated style. Their vocal abilities, however, have been shrouded in mystery… Until now!

In a recently released clip, the leader of the group, Sera, is covering Josh Groban’s famous song “You Raise Me Up.” Will she be able to live up to such a vocally strong song? See for yourself below:

At first, I really wanted to group her into the same category as SNSD’s Jessica: an airy-voiced throat-singer. Upon further listening, however, I found that Sera has a lot more behind her voice then meets the eye. Sure, it sounded a tiny bit strained at some parts, but I’m sure she would sound terrific in a slightly lower octave than what she’s singing in this song. The point of this is that she has her technique down (ie. not singing from her throat).

What do you think?
