At the San Diego Comic Con, model kit manufacturer Kotobukiya showed off their Marvel and DC Comics Bishoujo line of figures, giving comic book heroines a manga look (and boy, do they look awesome!).

Some of these figures are already available for purchase such as Rogue and Scarlet Witch from the X-Men series. Two new figures were showcased, Batgirl and Emma Frost (both looking great by the way), and will be released next year. Some characters only had concept art for their figures and will get a release date sometime next year (like Black Cat and Wonder Woman).

I like this idea of combining two comic book forms together. The results were neat. I’m not really into American comic book figurines but these look really awesome. Illustrator Shunya Yamashita did a great job designing these figures. I can’t wait until the Black Cat figure is produced. I would probably buy it along with Emma Frost. I would probably get Rogue too just because I like her.

Which bishoujo (pretty girl) design do you like the most?
