It’s about that time someone came out with material worth banning. The latest to break the rules are Seo Taiji and T.O.P. of Big Bang, one for using the F-word and the other for indirectly advertising big name brands. I already hear VIPs dropping eff bombs for this one.
On July 27, MBC reviewed both artists’ material and were required to ban Seo Taiji’s latest album ‘2009 Seo Taiji Band Live Tour The Möbius’ for being a potty mouth and saying such vulgarities as “fucked up” (you can say that again).
And as for T.O.P., MBC stated that they have banned ‘Turn It Up’ for indirectly advertising brands like Louis Vuitton, Dior, Alexander McQueen, and Dolce & Gabbana.
Take note that they’ve banned the song itself for advertising these brands because he mentions them in the lyrics. The banning isn’t necessarily about the abundance of product placement in the music video.
What do you think? Are you with T.O.P. in that macro above or are MBC’s bans reasonable?
