What is it with KPOP and the f-bomb these days? Korean girl group KARA has recently become the latest victim of this effin’ craze, and fans are not happy!
After the recent opening of their online mall, it was discovered that the store was selling shirts that had the phrase “BEST FUCKIN FIVE (pictured above).” The shirt, which is currently being sold for about $12 USD, is being deemed as offensive to netizens, and comments such as “I understand that foreigners use this word a lot but there’s no need in putting it on a shirt and wearing it around” and “In foreign shows, they beep this word out. It’s a curse word for sure” are streaming in.
A representative has made a statement saying that, “We had no idea that this would cause a controversy. We were just using it for the purpose of the clothes. It’s just a witty remark often used by people internationally.”
Sorry, but the last time I checked, dropping the f-bomb isn’t casually used as a “witty remark.” Come on, Korea, you know exactly who you’re selling these shirts to! Clean up your act!
Do you think this shirt is offensive? Especially since it’s being sold to minors?
