There’s something grim buried beneath the glamour in the lives of Kpop celebrities, but I’m sure you already knew that. Kpop stars Gummy, Krystal of f(x) and Junsu of 2PM recently shared just a piece of the harsh reality of living life in the fab lane.

On SBS Delicious Invitation, these three idols opened up (a little) about the troubles of being singers. F(x)’s Krystal said, “I get hurt being a female singer. Since I’m in a girl group, people judge me on all kinds of things, from my vocals to my body, so it’s really hard on me. All girl group members feel this way.” I’m sure all girls in general feel this way, actually.

According to Gummy, who works it out solo, bares a heavier burden, “I’m lonely because I’m a female singer. Since I sing sad songs, my life models after it and I can’t love comfortably.” Not only that, but she probably endures even more pain when things go wrong. (On the upside, she doesn’t have to divide that check into a billion pieces!)

In representation of the guys, 2PM’s Junsu shared something a little less worrisome, i. e. smelling rank. “I get smelly because I’m a male singer. Chansung sleeps on the floor and Taecyeon doesn’t even take off his makeup. Our members are really becoming beasts.”

It’s called a shower, Junsu.
