Another lawsuit has risen up against the DBSK trio of Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu. This time, SM Entertainment sues the cosmetic company We# Plus that the three invested in.
It has been reported that SM Entertainment filed a lawsuit against CEO Kang of cosmetic company We# Plus to the Seoul District Courts for libel, defamation of character and impediment of performance.
SM Entertainment gave its reasoning for the suit, “CEO Kang of We# Plus filed a defamation of character and impediment of performance lawsuit against SM’s CEO Kim Young Min which was denied on May 31st. We have found out that We# Plus has sued DBSK fans so we decided to file this lawsuit to stop any more damages from occurring.”
However, it’s been known that those ‘fans’ are people who spread false rumors about We# Plus (in order to defame the three members) and they were sued for that. Afterward, they apologized for their actions through their blogs.
Therefore, is SM Entertainment’s true purpose for this new lawsuit to really protect fans or is it another marketing strategy?
