After hitting gold in the Phillipines with their Bonamana album (which has had 10 consecutive weeks being number one and enjoyed explosive album sales), a list has been compiled of all the firsts that Super Junior have achieved in the Phillipines. Judging from the list, Korea’s largest boyband definitely has some of their most devoted ELFs in this country.

1. The FIRST K-Pop Group to have TWO Gold Records in the Philippines for the albums Sorry Sorry & Miinah (Bonamana).

2. The FIRST K-Pop Group to have FIVE #1 Albums in the Philippines – Sorry Sorry in September 2009, Super Girl (for sub-group Super Junior-M) in November 2009, Super Show 2 Live Album in February 2010, Don’t Don in May 2010 and Miinah (Bonamana) in July 2010.

3. The FIRST K-Pop Boy Band to have THREE #1 simultaneously on MYX Charts – MYX DAILY TOP TOP, MYX INTERNATIONAL TOP 20 and MYX HIT CHART for their music videos Sorry Sorry-Answer, Miinah (Bonanama) and No Other!

4. The FIRST K-Pop Boy Band to have FOUR #1 on MYX Charts for their music videos It’s You, Sorry Sorry-Answer, Miinah (Bonamana) and No Other!

5. The FIRST K-Pop Group to reach #1 in THREE of the country’s biggest Retail Stores – Music One, Odyssey and Astrovision/Astroplus.

6. The FIRST K-Pop Group to hold a Major Concert in the Philippines at one of biggest concert venues – Araneta Coliseum (25,000 people capacity)! They are coming back again February next year for Super Show 3.

7. The FIRST K-Pop boy band released by Universal Records that made other record companies realize that K-Pop is a genre to be reckoned with. Remember, Universal Records first released K-Pop in 2003 (BoA, SES and SWI.T).

Leader Leeteuk has, through his Twitter account, shown his appreciation toward the Fillipino ELFs by tweeting, “Super Junior’s Miinah has been number 1 in the Philippines for 10 weeks in a row^^ Have to work harder in order to break Sorry Sorry’s 37 weeks in a row in Taiwan’s record^^.” Let’s hope that Super Junior manage to break the amazing feat they accomplished in Taiwan and that Pinoy ELFs can really show Super Junior how much they love them…
