Mosquitoes can be quite annoying especially in the summer when they are sneaking around and looking for more blood to suck. Well, would you believe that Huang Ching, who is a Taiwanese news anchor, almost died from getting choked by a mosquito? No? She actually did.

It all happened when she was on TV, reporting news. Bad timing, huh? One random mosquito all of a sudden attached itself on Ching’s mouth and started digging into her mouth. Being a professional anchor, she never frowned or started panicking, although you could see a few drops of tears in her eyes.


Regarding this, she said, “It wouldn’t have been polite to spit it out on camera,” she said.

However, this was not the end of it. The mosquito ended up going all the way down to her windpipe, causing an asthma attack that almost killed Ching. To do damage control, a four-minute advertisement started rolling, and Ching was replaced by another anchor.

Ching ended up at the hospital for several days. She said, “I never expected a mosquito to have such great power. It really gave me a bad day.”

Who would have thought mosquitoes can hurt one in a different way besides the usual way of sucking blood?
