Pussycat Doll member Nicole Scherzinger has been confirmed as a guest star in next season’s How I Met Your Mother. She will play Robin’s 1980’s friend/rival. If you keep up with the show, you will be aware that Robin Sparkles, played by Cobie Smulders, was once a Canadian icon in pop and that the 1980’s friend rival is actually Jessica Glitter, to be played by Nicole Scherzinger. Craig Thomas, the comedy show’s executive producer, said, “It’s going to be a satisfying third chapter in the Robin Sparkles trilogy. It’s a prequel to both ‘Let’s Go to the Mall‘ and ‘Sandcastles in the Sand.’”

The episode featuring Scherzinger, who is of Filipino, Hawaiian and Russian descent, is set be aired in November. Will you be switching on your TV to the sight of the Pussycat Doll?
