Korean World figure skating champion, Kim Yuna has had a very successful life, winning gold medals, appearing in endorsements and creating a global reputation. She also inspires young figure skaters to follow their dream and to go for gold. Kim Yuna is now ranked 5th in the world for the highest paid athlete following tennis stars Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams and Venus Williams and NASCAR racer Danica Patrick.

In a survey of the World’s highest paid female athletes hosted by Forbes.com confirmed that Kim Yuna took home a whopping income of $9.7 million US dollar. Kim Yuna won an Olympic gold medal at Vancouver earning her a $1 million bonus from her sponsor, Kookmin Bank. Kim Yuna also have endorsement deals with top consumer companies such as Hyundai, Nike and Samsung Electronics.
