Everyone, including myself, just can’t seem to get enough of DBSK’s Junsu. Remember when he starred in Mozart! as the musical genius himself? Well, the renowned Hungarian composer Sylvester Levay responsible for the musical took such a strong liking to him, that he requested for Junsu to reprise his role as the star in an upcoming concert specifically designed to showcase musicals Mozart! and Elizabeth, which is set to debut in Korea in 2012. But despite the two musicals as the concert’s main focus, the event, to the delight of DBSK , JYJ, and Junsu fans alike, I’m sure, will be titled “Kim Jun Soo Musical Concert: Levay with Friends.”

And I thought I was a dedicated fan. Levay puts me to shame. Not only did he title the concert in Junsu’s name, but he’s also going to fly to Korea to join the idol for the concert with a new, shiny, and never before seen piece to the concert that he personally composed for the one and only Kim Junsu to sing. Oh, and he also watched all of Junsu’s performances with DBSK. Yeah, I’m sure that didn’t take a long time at all.

And what does Junsu have to say for himself? Says the singer,

I was able to play a special role in Mozart, and found myself falling for the charm of the new genre of music I encountered…we will be introducing Composer Levay’s famous production ‘Elizabeth’ for the first time in Korea along with highlights of the musical ‘Mozart!’ I hope that this will be a special time for the fans of the musical to experience a new side of the musical.

In addition a representative of EMK Musical Company said in regards to the concert:

The staff will be comprised of skilled people from Europe, Japan and Korea in order to create a memorable stage for the concert…Kim Junsu will present himself as an artist like never before to his fans and is working hard to produce a concert that will move the audience with music alone. Please anticipate it.

Somehow, I have a feeling that Junsu will be more than successful in his endeavor. He’s got quite a rep for moving fans to tears with his music already.

Despite the concert’s name though, this will be by no means a one man show–Junsu will be joined by fellow Mozart! musical actors, his colleagues from Elizabeth, and of course, Levay himself. It should be quite the show and it’s what I expect everyone to be talking about when they take Korea by storm on October 7 - 10.

Since I can’t be there in person to bask in Junsu’s glorious singing…fingers crossed for a DVD, pleasepleaseplease. You have no idea how disappointed I was when Junsu didn’t take part in the Mozart! OST.

Selfish desires aside, I’m really glad he’s getting another whack at doing what he loves best. He really is winning over the world one heart at a time, isn’t he?
