The word “Eum Chin Ddal,” which literally translates to “Mom’s friend’s daughter,” is the perfect word to describe Korean actress/ former Miss Korea, Honey Lee. Everyone is jealous of her because she is such a perfect woman. She is gorgeous, smart and talented. To add to the list, she recently graduated from Seoul University’s music graduate school, earning her masters in traditional Korean music (Gukak).

Her passion for Gukak goes a while back. She attended a high school that only specializes in Gukak, and then she went on to Seoul University. After getting her bachelor’s degree, she moved on to graduate school, majoring in playing gayageum (Korean traditional instrument). The reason she is so passionate about playing the gayageum is because of her mother, who was a gayageum player.

Even after graduating, Honey still wants to research Gukak more in depth. Her agency commented, “In order to graduate, Honey Lee has shown a unique sense of determination while attending school, and even working in dramas and musicals at the same time. She has had to catnap a lot.”

Congratulations! It’s hard to juggle schoolwork and acting career, but she managed to split time equally to do what she is passionate about. She is truly the Eum Chin Ddal that I know! I hope to see you in more dramas and movies!
