Exciting news is in the air for anyone willing to make the trip to Randall’s Island Park for the 2010 New York Chuseok Festival on October 9th and 10th, from noon to 10PM. There will be delicious Korean food, fun cultural activities, and best of all, a concert will take place from 7-10PM with performers such as Lee Hyori, Kara, Kim Jong Kook, and BEAST!

The Korean-American Fruit and Vegetable Association organizes the New York Chuseok Festival each year and has successfully invited artists and groups like Se7en, Lee Hyori, JYP, the Wonder Girls, and the Brown Eyed Girls to perform in the past.

This year’s NY Chuseok Festival looks to be just as fun and entertaining as ones in the past, with a full artist lineup of: Kara, Lee Hyori, Kim Jong Kook, BEAST, Jeong, Hyun Sook, Kim Bu Ja, Jang Mi Hwa, and Tae Ji Na.

With guests like those, who isn’t excited? I know exactly where I’ll be come October 9th…

The event (concert is included during the festival) was free the past few years...so it should be free this year as well. Last time I asked, my friend (he knows someone who’s organizing the festival) told me that the concert was on both days, but some sources are saying that the concert’s only on the 10th, so I’m not too sure anymore. If I ever find out for sure, I’ll post it here.

Hey, KARA and KJK aren’t bad either. Honestly, though: I don’t recognize the rest of the names at all. It’s organized by the Korean-American Fruit and Vegetable Association, after all. And it’s a popular time of year to have events in South Korea, so it’s great that we’re able to steal away some entertainers during that time.

And, I dunno, we have SM Town and Kim Taewoo performed a month or so ago at Walt Disney Concert Hall, so it’s not all bad in LA. I missed all the JYPE action this past summer though :( WG, 2AM and 2PM

Ahh!! SM Town this Saturday! Whee!


I guess this is one of the disadvantages of being in LA. :[

greeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat. what’ll they have? bonus trot singers? call me when u.s. promotion agencies actually pony up some money to bring in the big guns from korea.
