Oh my goodness! King of Baking, Kim Tak Goo is going to end soon. This summer went by super fast because of this drama. I’ve been enjoying it way too much that I took it for granted. It’s unfortunate that it only has three more episodes to go, but I will always be the biggest fan! Episode 26 ended with Dr. Yoon talking to Tak Goo about his mom. Let’s see what happened. Here are the highlights from today’s episode: (WARNING: SPOILER ALERT)
Tak Goo was speechless when Dr. Yoon revealed that he knew his mom.
Majoon’s mom tried to humiliate Yoo Kyung in front of Majoon by bringing her dad.
Yoo Kyung went up to her dad and asked, “Who are you? You are not my father.”
Yoo Kyung’s dad was shocked to see his daughter’s reaction.
After the whole mess, Yoo Kyung passed out (her traumatic memories involving her dad came back to her and kept lingering in her head).
Tak Goo went to the hospital to see his mom, only to find an empty room. Nurse gave a slip of paper that said Tak Goo’s mom left the hospital and went out to travel.
Tak Goo’s mom was escorted by Jin Goo to some unknown location.
Tak Goo went back to the Chung San factory and witnessed Yoo Kyung’s dad getting beat up by factory employees for stealing their money. Tak Goo stopped them and gave them money. Tak Goo also gave Yoo Kyung’s dad some money, so that he wouldn’t steal other people’s money again.
Yoo Kyung’s dad acted like he didn’t care, but he was hurt by Yoo Kyung’s attitude towards him.
Yoo Kyung regained consciousness and found herself lying down next to Majoon who asked her to marry him this upcoming Sunday. She said yes, and they exchanged yet another kiss.
Misoon found Tak Goo sleeping in his old Pal Bong bakery bedroom.
Someone was locked in a broom closet!
Majoon announced to his family that he was getting married.
Time went by and there was still no sign of Tak Goo’s mom.
Tak Goo worked hard to improve the condition of Chung San factory.
The person in charge Chung San factory kept in touch with Manager Han to let him know what Tak Goo has been up to.
Tak Goo wanted to change raw material suppliers. Manager Han tried to stop him, but Tak Goo showed him who the boss was (*snap snap*).
The person in the broom closet was ex-maid of the Geo Sung family who recently started living with Tak Goo’s mom after getting fired (Jin Goo probably did this to her).
Yoo Kyung’s dad went to visit the Geo Sung building to see Majoon. He lied to Majoon by saying that Yoo Kyung was not his daughter. He also returned the money he received from Manager Han. He wished both of them happiness.
Yoo Kyung then confronted her dad and asked him why he did that. He responded by saying that Tak Goo made him do it.
Majoon returned the money to Manager Han and announced about his upcoming marriage. He told Manager Han to never mess with him ever again.
Yoo Kyung revealed her marriage to Tak Goo. Tak Goo and Yoo Kyung hugged each other for the last time. Yoo Kyung told Tak Goo that she would try to find happiness.
Majoon saw them hugging.
CCTV showed that the person who took Tak Goo’s mom was Jin Goo.
Majoon and Yoo Kyung exchanged vows in a small chapel. Majoon’s two sisters and Manager Han attended the ceremony.
After the ceremony, Manager Han went to see Tak Goo’s mom and made her sign a resignation document, so that he can obtain her share of company stock.
Tak Goo’s mom refused and ripped the paper in half. As a consequence, Jin Goo took her to “finish her off once and for all.”
Tak Goo arrived and tried to catch up with the car, but Jin Goo drove away.
I still cannot believe that Majoon and Yoo Kyung got married. That’s just plain crazy! They don’t even really love each other! The only reason why they did it was because they wanted to get their revenge on Majoon’s mom and Manager Han. You call that love? I don’t think so! I thought Jin Goo was a good person, but he betrayed everyone by working with Manager Han. Jin Goo kidnapping Tak Goo’s mom was totally a déjà vu moment. Tsk tsk. When will he ever turn good? I was happy to see Yoo Kyung’s dad change. He used to beat her up all the time, but now he wished for her happiness. Awww such a touching moment! OMG. Will Tak Goo and his mom ever reunite with each other? I hope something good happens on the next episode!
