With the last episode of My Girlfriend is a Nine Tailed Fox ending on a bad note, this episode really helped to lift my spirits. As expected from our Hoi Couple, they left me drowned in their love. So, I now present you guys with the highlights from episode 13: (WARNING: SPOILER ALERT)
Doon Joo worries that Miho may be thinking of disappearing by attacking herself with his knife.
Dae Woong and Miho go on a date. Dae Woong starts to copy another couple he saw and is disappointed when Miho doesn’t act the way he thought she would.
Director Ban goes back to Korea to visit Min Sook for a short while. They then go to the sauna. It turns out Dae Woong and Miho go to the same sauna. Dae Woong hurries and leaves because he wasn’t even supposed to be in Korea.
While going home, Miho once again starts thinking that she has to disappear and that if every once in a while Dae Woong calls out her name she will always remain in his heart.
Byung Soo and Sun Nyeo tell Hye In that Dae Woong has came back to see Miho. They then told her that Dae Woong plans on taking Miho to China when he leaves which shocks Hye In since she thought Miho couldn’t leave because have a passport. Byung Soo tells Hye In that in fact she does and that Miho’s real name is Park Sun Joo. Hye In goes to see Doon Joo and he tells her that she has to get between Miho and Dae Woong.
Dae Woong starts telling Miho about all the things they can do together once she becomes human like going to the beach, going skiing, and celebrating Christmas.
Miho goes to see Doon Joo and tells him that she will indeed be going to China for a month with Dae Woong. He says that he has business to attend to and she says she will stay at the office. Miho goes to look for the Knife and Doo Joo, knowing what she will try to find, returns. Doon Joo tells Miho that her love for Dae Woong is too one sided and that he would not be willing to die for her. He tells her that once she dies and disappears someone else will take her place.
Miho asks Dae Woong a series of questions dealing with him putting her life ahead of his own. Miho ends up disappointed when Dae Woong would of course want to save himself and says that such things will never happen. She becomes even more disappointed when she finds out that Dae Woong has a bad memory. She fears that he will eventually forget her too.
Dae Woong decides to take Miho to the zoo to make things up to her and afterwards they go to visit his Grandfather and Aunt. Grandpa tells Miho that she must be special if Dae Woong would even go to the zoo with her. He tells her that Dae Woong has always hated the zoo since his parents had died in an accident after coming back from the zoo.
Miho starts thinking that she only wanted Dae Woong to remember her after she was gone but she didn’t want those memories to end up hurting him like the memories he has of his parents.
There are now only 50 days left.
Miho goes around and says her goodbyes to everyone before she leaves for China with Dae Woong. While leaving the house, Miho runs into Doon Joo. He tells her not to go but she says she has too. He tells her after making his mistake 1000 years ago he still regrets it. She tells him that she is not his Gil-Dal from a 1000 years ago.
Doon Joo tells Hye In the whole story and the two of them set out to tell Dae Woong the truth in order to stop him from going to China.
Hye In tells Dae Woong the truth.
Doon Joo goes to the airport where Miho is waiting and tells her that Dae Woong won’t come to her now that he has found out the truth. Dae Woong tells Hye In that he is going to Miho.
Dae Woong dosen’t show up. Miho tells Doon Joo that she will listen to him and follows him but instead runs away.
Dae Woong arrives at the airport and tells Miho to take the bead out of him. He says that he can give up half of his life and she can give up being human. He then says that he loves her so he dosen’t want to die for her and he doesn’t want her to die for him.
He then kisses her. Miho then gets the bead back.
I was so happy this episode was able to end on a good note, unlike the last one. So much happened during this episode but what schocked me most of all was Dae Woong’s reaction after finding out the truth. I was just really happy that it didn’t matter to him all that much. When he told Miho that he didn’t want her to die for him I seriously started crying, it was so sweet. I really am starting to wonder though, what’s gonna happen after Miho takes the bead from Dae Woong? I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
