It’s recently been revealed via 2NE1TV that main vocalist Park Bom visited the site of her aunt’s grave when the group took a trip to Los Angeles earlier this year. Bom was completely filled with emotion, and we got to see a side of celebrities that we don’t often see.
Back when Bom was living in the United States, she lived with her aunt, saying that her aunt raised her like her own. She also encouraged Bom’s singing dreams. Crying at the grave site, Bom left a bundle of flowers and a message saying, “I’m a famous singer now. I miss you a lot. I’m sorry for coming so late. I love you.”
I think this is one of those things that you’d rather not see, because it’s painful, and we can all connect. I do think, however, that showing something like this really sheds a humanizing light on the “perfect” celebrities that we have come to admire.
