Sadly, MC Mong has been living a quiet life since controversy broke out that he’d been dodging military service by yanking out his teeth. As of now, he’s still under investigation. Meaning his career and celebrity life is placed on hold for now. Read on to see what MC Mong has been up to these past weeks.
All of MC Mong’s activities have been canceled. He’s been dropped from both the HaHa Mong Show and 1N2D.
According to a representative of his entertainment company, he has been staying at his house and has yet to come out. He’s also called close friends and vented his troubles, saying things like “This is so hard. I never took out my healthy teeth, I don’t know why I’m in this situation. I don’t know what to do.”
IS EnterMedia Group has held off from commenting on the investigation, “If we make the slightest mistake, our image may turn into a company that goes against authorities, which is why we’re not responding aggressively.” Additionally, the ‘Korea Military Man Power Administration‘ has come out to explain what will happen to MC Mong if he’s found guilty or innocent, “If he is found guilty, his level 5 status (Korean citizens are evaluated to determine the kind of service they will do) is canceled and will undergo a re-evaluation. However even if he receives a result between levels 1-3, because of his age, MC Mong will be appointed as a public service personnel. If he receives imprisonment, he will serve the military after the completion of his prison term, and if he is put on probation, he will be serving the military immediately.”
Such a shame, really. To think that this great musician might bite the dust soon is disappointing.
