Fahrenheit’s 4th Album, Super Hot [Review]

I have been eagerly waiting for the mail to arrive every day to receive my own copy of Fahrenheit’s newest album, Super Hot. Now it gives me great pleasure to say that I have finally received it! I preordered it from YesAsia about a week before it’s release, and I tried my very best to hold back from listening to the album until I got my own copy, but I must admit that I haven’t stopped listening to it since even before all the songs were out. So even though there are no new songs for me to listen to, it is just so great to hold it in my hands.

I ordered the Super Hot (Deluxe Version), which comes with the CD and oversized paper fans of both Aaron and Jiro. You also get the option of ordering Calvin and Wu Zun fans. I am tempted to order another album, just so I can have all four fans!

I was a little nervous about the packaging, just because I want everything to stay in good condition, but YesAsia always prevails. It was safely guarded between plenty of cardboard and rapped tightly in bubble rap, including the bubble rap envelope it was packaged in.

I was very surprised when I pulled it out, I was afraid I had ordered the wrong thing and gotten a photobook instead of the CD, but after flipping through the pages I saw the CD tucked in the pocket of the last page. The album/book stands at 11″ in width, and 8 1/2″ in height. The inside includes photos of them along with the Chinese lyrics to the songs. What was also included in the packaging was a promotional photo of their album cover, which stood at the same size as the book. I really liked that, because I can use it like a mini cardboard poster!

Going with the gimmick of Super Hot, like I said, Fahrenheit has given away special oversized paper fans as gifts with their album purchase. Though right now it is a little too chilly to be cooling myself down with the faces of Fahrenheit, they are great collector’s items, and can go with their album cover on my wall.

Now onto the music. I know you have already heard Super Hot, Sexy Girl, Cherish Your Heartache, Live In Peace, Guardian Star, and Misunderstanding, so there is really no need to go over those again. Except to tell you that Cherish Your Heartache has a new version to the music video, and this time you see Fahrenheit more than once! This is more of a music video than a mini-drama, this time putting the focus on the members, and showing only tidbits to the drama part. Take a look.

I like the other version better, because the clips don’t make much sense without the whole story there, but I do like being able to see them all in this video. This song is definitely up there in my favorites off of this album.

Okay, so here are the songs I have yet to reveal.

Track 04. Keep Loving You.
This song isn’t much different from their older stuff. Very soft and sweet.

Track 07. Going On My Way.
Now out of all the songs off of this album, I have by far listened to this one the most. I think I would have to label this my very favorite. Listen to it. It’s so catchy, and really pretty sounding! I especially love the chorus. Ah, I could listen to it all day.

Track 09. Tarzan Program.
I really love this song, though it can’t be compared, I feel a Bu Si Zi Mi resemblance, but this time without all their corny rapping.

Track 10. Rebirth.
A while back I had showed you guys a short preview to this song, now hearing the full version I love it even more! Very fast pace and upbeat, the song is so catchy! This will also be featured as the opening theme song to the fourth Bleach movie. Take a listen.
