Japan has done it again! Everyone all over the world has been experimenting with making robots, and Japan recently managed to come up with a fembot (HRP-4) that is capable of observing someone’s lips and imitating him/her.
The two programs that are responsible for the fembot’s singing skills are VocaListener and Vocawatcher. VocaListener allows the robot to analyze a person’s mouth and produce the corresponding notes. On the other hand, Vocawatcher enables the fembot to study a human’s facial expressions that go with each note. Check out the video of this robot singing!
Aww. Her voice is so cute, just like any other Japanese girl’s voice. Nowadays, it’s hard for me to keep up with all these new gadgets and technology-related things. Why are the Japanese people so smart and fast? They should slow down, so that I can catch up on gadget news easily.
