It was previously reported that S.H.E member Selina was currently being hospitalized after sustaining third degree burns from an explosion accident during the filming of a drama. Despite the efforts of her co-star, Yu Hao Ming, to protect her, it was revealed that Selina still managed to sustain burns on her back, legs and arms.

Selina was recently flown back to Taiwan via an SOS special plane where she met with her father and fiance, crying at the sight of her family. It was revealed that Selina had to have all of her hair shaven off, and she has to wear protective clothing at all times in order to prevent any infection or dehydration from occurring, which are the two main dangers associated with third degree burns.

Upon seeing his daughter for the first time in this condition, her father commented that, “I wish I could endure the suffering for her, even at the cost of my life… May heaven have mercy on her.”

It is currently known that Selina suffers from third degree burns over at least 40% of her body, and she will require skin grafts to replace the incinerated portions of her skin. Although her father refused to reveal further details, he did say that she is currently in stable condition.

From here on out, the slow process of recovery begins. First, the dead and damaged skin cells left behind must be removed. Next, the areas will be cleaned and disinfected to make way for the skin grafts. The grafting procedure is a delicate one and will probably take a couple of hours. Afterward, Selina will have to be monitored closely during her rehabilitation period, which will most likely span several months.

Yu Hao Ming, who heroically attempted to protect Selina suffered from the most severe damage. To the extreme worry of many fans, there is currently no word on his whereabouts or condition.
