Girl’s Day is preparing themselves for a comeback after a slightly underwhelming debut with Tilt My Head. This time around, they’re hitting up the market with a song titled Nothing Lasts Forever, which they recently released the MV for. Although their entertainment agency insists that they’ve retained their cute image, I personally think that they’ve taken on a fiercer concept, which is awesome. Check out the song and MV and see for yourself!

I honestly wasn’t expecting much after Tilt My Head, but Nothing Lasts Forever managed to pleasantly surprise me. I didn’t really like the spoken parts in the beginning of the song (something about lines such as “you are my princess” sounded kind of off and just sloppy, at least to me), but I very much enjoyed the strong vocals and the melody lines. I especially loved the bridge. The only things I’m concerned about is 1) if the girls are able to pull a powerful song like this off live and 2) that they’ll most likely be making their comeback in the shadow of high-profile comebacks such as 2AM’s and SNSD’s. But whatever happens, I definitely think this is a step in the right direction for them and I hope they get more songs like this in the future.

Look out for the album on the 29th of October!

What do you guys think?
