The success of Playful Kiss’ YouTube version was recently featured in a report by CNN’s Anna Coren and they dubbed it as “When TV is not on TV, but on YouTube.” The clip included the interview with the CEO of Group 8 Byeong-Joon Song and its lead actor Kim Hyun Joong.

If I heard it right, Google got more than 3.5 million clicks from their ads embedded on the Playful Kiss webisodes, that’s really a lot of revenue!
I haven’t watched the TV version yet but I got hooked into the YouTube version, maybe I’ll try to watch it once i got the chance.
