This week’s episode of Glee was all about family, which warmed Gleek hearts — especially with Thanksgiving having passed this week. Furt was loaded with surprises, most before the first commercial break! This episode was super sweet, and romantic seeing Sam proposing to Quinn! I also love the big break from all the difficult relationships and complicated storyline. This episode was fairly relaxed and enjoyable. Read on for my highlights and thoughts on this episode: (WARNING:SPOILER ALERT!)

- Kurt’s dad, Burt, prepares to push further the relationship with Finn’s mom, Carole, with a wedding and Kurt is elated to play wedding planner, naturally.

- ‘Glee’ is having a wedding! Sam gets down on his knees and proposes to Quinn that they make things official – with a promise ring, symbolizing his desire to spend his life with her. Awww!

- With love in the air, Sue decides that she’s also due to get married – To herself?

- Sue’s mother, Doris Sylveter, makes her first appearance, and we thought Sue was bad! Doris storms into Glee and bosses everyone around.

- Things get intense when the glee club attempts to rescue Kurt from bullying, and Sam and Karofsky battle in out in the locker room.

- When Burt finds out, he teaches Kurt’s bully to pick on somebody his own size — which gets Karofsky expelled — but Kurt still doesn’t spill the beans about what happened between them in the ‘Never Been Kissed‘ episode.

- New Directions break into an ensemble rendition of ‘Marry You‘ by Bruno Mars while dancing down the aisle of Burt and Carole’s wedding

- Kurt and Finn shine together on the podium as they celebrate becoming family, and Gleeks everywhere shed tears.

- Will gets a big wedding singer moment during Burt and Carole’s first dance, and he does a beautiful solo performance of ‘Sway‘ by Pablo Beltrán y Su Orchestra, which has the glee club dancing in their seats.

- Kurt makes a big announcement at the close of the show: As predicted, he’s transferring to Dalton Academy — meaning he’ll be competing against New Directions at sectionals.

‘Glee’ paid tribute to Bruno Mars this week by featuring two hits from the ‘Just the Way You Are’ singer, and wow-ed us with a visit from Broadway sensation Carol Burnett. Oh, did we mention Sue’s wedding dress was a flowing blue tracksuit? All of the songs from tonight’s ‘Furt’ episode of ‘Glee’ — with the exception of ‘Ohio’ — will be featured on ‘Glee: The Music, Volume 4,’ which lands November 30.
