After being absent for two years in the acting business, Joe Cheng (It Started with a Kiss) is back in a new Taiwanese drama starring along side singer and award winning actress Amber Kuo. Channel X (or National Hero) will be different from typical romance dramas, focusing more on an action, thriller storyline, with the theme coming from the tagline “To find out the truth, what are you willing to sacrifice?” A few trailers have been released already, because not even done filming and this is already set to broadcast on December 5th! Amazing. With such a long wait for Love Buffet, it’s such a shock to hear a drama coming out so soon.

But the reason for such a wait with all of Fahrenheit’s dramas is assumed to be because the channels don’t want to have the members different dramas competing with each other. Channel X is a different case entirely. This will be airing on Sunday’s from 10:00PM to 11:30PM; replacing the time slot of Zhong Wu Yen once broadcasting has finished. This can hopefully boast up SETTV after such horrible ratings coming from that last drama. This is really a breath of fresh air.

Joe Cheng will be playing the role of an anchorman, An Zai Yong, and based off of the previews, it looks like his world will be turned upside down when he is framed for a murder. Other than playing the love interest, it looks like Amber Kuo’s character is a paparazzi who puts the blame on his back. Always showing her with her camera, I wonder what evidence she has actually captured to make such an accusation. Take a look at the trailers below, and come to your own conclusions.

This is exciting. Action packed, and I cannot wait to see Joe Cheng star in another drama. I love all of his dramas. And it looks like we don’t have to wait too long.
