Many epic anime characters have been presented in the year of 2010. For the Ningin End of the Year Awards, I will be selecting my top 5 best anime character choices and then I will be choosing the one who I think deserves the title of Best Anime Character.

Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach).

Although he may look like a rock on the outside, he is actually a kind-hearted guy who would risk his life for his friends, families and even strangers. Losing his mother at a very young age, Ichigo learned to take care of himself as well as his highly-immature dad and two sisters. He also wields a humorous personality that includes being shy yet prideful. Always looking for fights that seem unnecessary yet entertaining.

Reborn (Katekyo Hitman Reborn).

This adorable little infant hitman with a cute personality. Always calm in any situation and always with a cute smile on his face, this anime character is one of my favorites. Be careful though, Reborn is quite deadly with the help of his shape-shifting chameleon.

Shota Kazehaya (Kimi Ni Todoke).

An outgoing and friendly male student who is absolutely adorable and romantic at the same time. The way he gets jealous over boys just spending time with his crush and the way he has these delightful love quotes such as “Let me be selfish, and allow me to have this time only for you and me.”

Yachiru Kusajishi (Bleach).

Another Bleach character! I fell in love with Yachiru when I first saw he, she is just so adorable. Yachiru is always cheerful, energetic and carefree unless you get on her bad side which is rare. She has a very child-like and is a very loyal friend especially to Kenpachi. One thing that I always wondered about her is, what sort of bankai would she have?

Hirasawa Yui (K-On!).

The adorable main vocalist and lead guitarist of the band. Not only are her guitar skills deadly but her cute personality as well. Always easily distracted and always spacing out, this is what I love about Hirasawa Yui, you’ll never know what she’ll do next.

And the Best Anime Character of the Year award goes to…
So in my final opinion, I believe Yachiru Kusajishi to be the best anime character. Fun and lovable all in a small, little package. I really like her optimistic personality and she is simply adorable, everything she does always gets me squirming.
