After embarking on a incredible journey around the world, only three teams remain. Two with the chance of being the first all-female team to ever win the Amazing Race. As they make their way to California, teams will face their final challenges.
Traveling back from South Korea, teams make their way to Los Angeles, California to perform their first challenge, teams had to ride up a tiny elevator, and get strapped in on top of a rickety crane, where they would then bungee jump down 150 feet towards the water. Nat, having a great fear of heights, struggled with this in her mind, but was still able to perform the challenge, and Nat and Kat held the lead.
Next teams traveled by helicopter to surprise destination, the Rose Bowl. It was there where one team member had to volunteer to have a crack at decorating a parade float. Jill and Thomas took their challenges accordingly to make sure that Thomas was the last one to perform, assuming that it would have been more of a physical challenge. Despite this he was still able to finish before Brook and Claire, but taxi troubles was what did it in for this team. Not even knowing what Google or the internet were, Jill and Thomas had major communication trouble with their taxi driver, which put them at a disadvantage, setting them back in the race all the way to last place.
Once teams received their clue they got a riddle, and had to figure out that their location to go to is at Quixote Studios stage 7, there they had a large screen of dozens of different numbered people, remembering each leg of the race, they had to figure out which of these people greeted them at the pit stops, and in order. Nat and Kat held their lead and finished before anyone got there. Receiving their clue from Bob Hughbanks, they were off on their destination to the final pit stop. Making it to the mat, they won the title of the first all-female team to ever win the Amazing Race! And this concludes my recaps of the Amazing Race, I hope you all enjoyed them!
Congratulations Nat and Kat!
The previews for the next season, it looks like it will be a bunch of favorites coming back to race again, but not all of them of course! I doubt I will watch it again, because I’m pretty sure Kevjumba will not be running again. Hah.
So, what did you guys think of season 17? It definitely was a good one!
