YG CEO Yang Hyunsuk has made it official: 2NE1 have signed with Avex Entertainment (home to Ayumi Hamasaki, Koda Kumi, Namie Amuro and Tohoshinki, among many others) and will finally make their Japanese debut in February 2011. I know I’ve said this before, but ‘it’s been a long time comin’!

YG recently announced on the agency’s website that 2NE1 are officially ready to take their talent overseas and break into the Japanese market for the first time. He mentioned that he had planned for 2NE1 to debut late 2010, but held back to give them more experience in the Korean industry before taking on the juggernaut that is Japan.

But that’s not all! While the big news is that 2NE1 will debut in February of 2011, YG has also revealed that after a 2 month promotional period overseas, they plan to bring the ladies back to Korea with a brand new album for May and June. Yes, you read that right. 2NE1 have no plans of disappearing into oblivion any time soon.

I’ll let you take this all in while I go scream my head off out of pure excitement…
