Girl group, Kara was able to sell over 200,000 copies of their first Japan album “Girl’s Talk” in just one month.

According to the Oricon Charts on December 28th, Kara ranked number 8 sort on the weekly album chart selling over 21,933 copies in one week. They were ranked 2nd place again on the same chart selling 100,000 copies in its first week and a total of 206,845 copies in one month.

Kara just recently received a Platinum Award for their ‘Mister‘ ringtone because they were able to reach around 250,000 downloads. Kara is also going to receive another Platinum Award from the Japanese Record Association if the rate of the album sales continue to increase.

Kara could receive their Platinum Award as early as the first week of January since the Japanese Record Association does not only reflect their album sales based on Oricon charts. This is the first achievement of any korean girl group but they are also the second one to receive this award after TVXQ.
