It has recently been revealed that Tony An’s father (age 70) has passed away after losing his battle with cancer.

After being admitted into Seoul National University Hospital because of his condition worsening, it was revealed that his son continued to stay by his side. Tony An previously talked about his fathers condition on a program before. He had revealed, “My father is currently in the intensive care unit and is in severe condition. Even while coming out to film today, I wondered whether it was okay for me to laugh and have fun like this on air. It feels so wrong as his son.”

A representative of his agency, TN Entertainment, stated, “Tony An always emotionally prepared himself, but he has fallen into great sorrow at the notice of his father’s sudden death.”

A terrible thing truly happened, I don’t think any of us can disagree. It is times like these were loved ones are the most important fans included. I just hope everyone can send their condolences and prayers to Tony An and his family, I know my thoughts and prayers are with him.
