“Women Chosun” has reported that former KARA member, Kim Sung Hee, will be getting married to Yang Won Joon (31), the eldest son of voice actor Yang Ji Woon. For all of you that are unaware, Kim Sung Hee was initially a member of KARA (before Goo Hara and Jiyoung) and was the prominent lead vocalist in KARA during their debut days. Her talent has not gone to waste because now she works as the vocal instructor for aspiring singers.

The pair met 2 years prior through their religious community and ever since have grown fonder of each other. It’s been confirmed that the parents of the lovers met a year into their relationship, and agreed to set a wedding date. Kim Sung Hee and Yang Won Joon plan to tie the knot on May 7th in a small wedding hall located in Gyeonggi-do, Paju.

Father of Yang Won Joon, Yang Ji Woon commented, “People can’t guess how cute our future daughter-in-law is when she does things. My wife is absolutely taken by her charms. Long ago, my son has gone through some hard times, but I look forward to him creating an ideal family by meeting a good wife.”

In 2008, Kim Sung Hee unexpectedly announced that she was going to officially withdraw from the group. Many rumors arose regarding the reason of why she left, but the main speculation was how her idol group activities were ‘interfering with her religious life.’
