It has recently been revealed that actress Kim Ji Soo has been fined 10 million won, approximately $8900, for her hit and run accident while she was driving drunk.

Kim Ji Soo, who’s most notably known for having starred in Woman of the Sun, was charged back in October 5th 2010 after hitting a taxi cab and was then seen trying to escape from the scene. However after the incident she stated, “I drove after having several glasses of champagne and hit a car . I was so shocked and scared that I just wanted to flee the scene. I’m very sorry.”

Luckily though, her alcohol content level was only at 0.029% and thus was still under the legal limit of 0.05% allowing her to escape a driving while drunk charge.

Although it was good hear she was still under the legal limit, I’m still really disappointed that she even made the choice to drive after having been drinking. Hopefully she’ll learn from this mistake so that she doesn’t make the same one again.
