Ever wonder about the different words and terms we use here? Wonder no more, Ninginers. Below is a complete glossary of Ningin words.

Blog Games: Blog games are trivia-based games that are hosted in our blogs and open to all users. Winners of blog games are rewarded with EXP points and/or Legion Points.

Box Office Pin Game: Box Office Pin Game is a weekly game in which users submit guesses of how much a particular box office film will make in it’s opening weekend. Those who guess correctly win a pin!

Experience Points (EXP): This is measure of everything that you do on Ningin. Your contributions here determine your status and ranking on Ningin and gives you an ever-increasing list of cool abilities. For more information, please read our Definitive EXP Guide here.

F’ing Giveaway: F’ing Giveaway is a weekly Facebook giveaway of KPOP albums. Requirements for F’ing Giveaway are really simple — fan us on Facebook and ‘like’ the giveaway.

Flash Games: Everyone plays games right? We have a lot of free-to-play flash games on Ningin. We run special events and tournaments around our flash games like, the DBSK Decathlon, the Super Junior Decathlon, KPOP Battles, KPOP Idol-Off and many more. We even created a whole league for our flash games which we called Mixr League Gaming. There’s at least one tournament every week. Participation in these tournaments earns your prizes, Reward Points and EXP not to mention a sense of camaraderie from other Ningin users!

Freebie RPs: Freebie RPs are random Reward Points giveaways. Reward Points are used to redeem prizes in the Reward Center. Make sure to look out for them because the Freebie RPs are only limited to those who comment quickly. First come, first serve!

Game Challenges: Game Challenges are 1-on-1 flash game challenges where you can challenge any other Ningin user and get 50 EXP points for being the victor! Read more about Game Challenges here.

Hot or Not: On many occasions, celebrities will wear questionable fashion ensembles. We leave it up to you to tell us if it’s, “Hot Or Not” in this editorial feature.

Legion Points: As part of the Mixr Legions, Legion Points are used as a scoring system for the teams included in Mixr Legions. If you are participating in Mixr Legions, a portion of your daily EXP will be converted into in-game gold which can be used to purchase Legion Points.

Lucky Comments: Every day, one random user will win 20 Reward Points to use in the Reward Center based on a ‘lucky comment.’ All you have to do to be eligible is post at least one comment the previous day. Each comment counts as one submission — the more you comment, the more you increase your chances of winning!

Mixr League Gaming (MLG): Mixr League Gaming is our own flash gaming league that hosts weekly flash game tournaments for prizes that include KPOP items, Reward Points, EXP, pins and more. MLG is free and open to all registered users!

Mixr Legions: A team-based, social game that combines elements of the popular Risk board and the domination game type in Call of Duty with our EXP system, which keeps track of all the activities that you do across the Mixr Network of sites. Only registered users may participate in Mixr Legions. This application is currently in testing and not available to the general public.

Mixr Network: Ningin is part of a network of sites with each focusing on different things. All of them are really cool and offer a lot of useful info. Your account on Ningin works on all the sites and you can earn EXP on all the sites. Plus, each has their own giveaway structure.

Newsstream: Imagine an RSS reader with a giant list of KPOP, JPOP, Anime, drama, manga, and general Asian websites. Now imagine people sorting through the thousands of stories each day produced by that giant list and picking out their favorite or useful ones. That’s what Newsstream does. It’s something you can be a part of and saves you a lot of time from visiting all these websites each day as well as filtering through all the stories by yourself.

Nice Points: Users who do good things for the community such as report bugs, welcome new users and offer good ideas earn nice points. Nice points automatically convert into EXP with nice actions ranging from 1-500 EXP points. Read more about Nice Points here.

Ningin Wallpaper Project: Inspired by Smashing Magazine, the Ningin Wallpaper Project is a monthly project in which users can create their own wallpapers featuring an Asian entertainment theme along with the Ningin logo. General submissions earn Reward Points while the top 5 wallpapers as selected by staff earn 50 Reward Points. For more information, head here.

Ningin Music Charts: Ningin’s very own weekly music ranking. Ningin Music Charts is a system for users to vote on their favorite songs. A weekly chart is posted with results of the week’s top 10 songs listened to the most by Ningin users.

Ningin Tributes: A Ningin Tribute is a user-submitted video, graphic or drawing submission that pays tribute to Ningin. If featured, users win anywhere from 5-100 RPs for use in our Mixr Reward Center.

Pins: Unique virtual awards for participating in various special events across our network. Think of pins like boy scout badges or Xbox Achievements. You get them for a lot of things, winning flash tournaments, guessing right in Movie Pin Games, beating certain scores in Pin Challenges, sharing a photo of yourself, or even just being online a certain day. Pins will appear in your EXP profile. For an example of someone with a lot of pins, check this guy.

Pin Games: Pin games are played by guessing the Rottentomatoes score a new movie earns on at a specific time on opening weekend. Users who guess correctly earn a special one-of-a-kind pin!

Reward Center: The Reward Center is a different system of giveaways. Users can earn Reward Points and when enough is accumulated, users can use them to purchase prizes they like.

Reward Points (RPs): Reward Points (RPs) are used in the Reward Center in exchange for prizes. Earning Reward Points is an easy task to do. They can be received by submitting news or links related to Mixr websites, participating in contests that offer RP or participating in one-off events and specials.

The Daily Mixr: The Daily Mixr is a list of the top news stories of the day from around the Mixr Network.

User Links: User Links are link submissions from users. If a user’s link is selected it may be featured on Ningin in exchange for EXP. To submit a link, locate the ‘Suggest A Link - Earn EXP’ button on the right-hand column of the site.

Voices: Ningin Voices is a community blog for Ningin users to express themselves. Each published Ningin Voices blog post earns Reward Points and EXP. To get started or for more information, head here.

Weekly EXP Giveaway: At the end of every week, the top 10 users of the week are announced. Users ranking in the top 10 will earn a certain amount of Reward Points, which can be used in the Reward Center. The higher the rank in the top 10, the more Reward Points earned.

Weekly Twitpic Roundup: In case you missed a twitpic or two from your favorite idols, we round up the week in Twitpics (tweeted photos) in the Weekly Twitpic Roundup.
