Remember Alexandra Wallace the girl that posted a video dissing all of her Asian classmates in the library from UCLA? It has just been announced that she has actually withdrawn from school due to harassment from her peers.

She wrote:

“The video has led to the harassment of my family, the publishing of my personal information, death threats and being ostracized from an entire community. Accordingly, for personal safety reasons, I have chosen to no longer attend classes at UCLA. I was trying to produce a humorous YouTube video, but instead offended the UCLA community and the entire Asian culture. I am truly sorry for the hurtful words I said and the pain it caused to anyone who watched the video. Especially in the wake of the ongoing disaster in Japan, I would do anything to take back my insensitive words. I could write apology letters all day and night, but I know they wouldn’t erase the video from your memory, nor would they act to reverse my inappropriate action.’’

According to this “sincere” apology it seems like it’s actually fake because her father wrote on his Facebook page:

“My daughter wants to start a blog.”

“She’s asking for domain suggestions for ‘Asians on their cellphones in the library!’ She’s shooting videos as I write.”

Looks like some people need a wake up call-fast because this is just plain twisted.

but it seems like a messed up joke. Whether it’s a sincere apology or not that kind of topic shouldnt be taken as a joke in the first place

I think you need to get your facts straight. It is a legitimate apology and it’s been posted on UCLA’s newspaper, “The Daily Bruin”. While I am offended (I’m also a ucla student), I do want to say that she did apologize.
I’m sure whatever her father posted is fake though

What the hell, reading the “apology” i’d forgive her for it but knowing that she’s not sincere, well that just sucks. She seriously needs to get a life.

She is stupid. Hello? Wake up girl. Its 2011 already. Do you understand the word globalization? Being racist to shoot a humorous video is just not funny at all.

Wow, that’s stupid.  She’s messed up.  She “apologizes” and then she tries to do it again?  She’s not sorry at all..


i feel kinda bad that she was harassed but she kinda asked for it making a video like that what did she expect people would do? hopefully this ends soon because there’s alot more things to worry about like JAPAN

Wow this is really messed up of her. One minute she’s apologizing to the community and the next she’s planning to make more videos. I do feel sorry for her but she doesn’t seem to understand how wrong she was. 


I feel bad that she was harassed but it doesnt seem like shes really sorry.
Also I know us asians can be loud, but they arent the only ones who talk on their cells in the library.
I’ve seen tons of non-asians do that too.. so wtf. 


that video was supposed to be humorous? ...her humor must be as good as wasabi on ice cream. 


Although I feel bad that she got negative response from her video, she should have known better then to attack the Asian community. Didn’t she watch the first episode of Glee season 2 where they say “the Asian community is pretty tight”.  I hope she learns from her mistake but I guess she has a long to go. I can’t wait until she becomes old news and no one will care about her blog. Making fun of other people is just not cool.


it’s her own fault for making it like this...if she goes to UCLA then she should see asians on a daily basis
knowing that, she still decided to upload this video about her stupid rant
she brought this upon herself...truthfully, i’m still mad just thinking about this video because one race isn’t better than the other

She must have no life...Sorry, but if all you have in your free time to do is tape yourself ranting about Asians, then you must be pretty boring.

It’s still sad though; she lost her learning environment to a messed up youtube video. Don’t do this kids!

I really stopped caring about this situation. I was never offended in the first place by her. I was only bothered because she mentioned the unfortunate disaster in Japan in the video. Other than that, I didn’t care for the words of a racist girl in UCLA, but I began to pity her when people started harassing her.

I think people should just put the situation to rest rather than making it bigger. This apology just sounds pointless right now. We should focus our attention on those in trouble in Japan rather than her. She made a mistake so she’s paying for it. It seems way overpriced though.


me does not like her at all. I don’t think she deserves to quit school but I still can’t accept that apology thingy and I doubt its any close to being sincere.
