Yet another Korean idol is set to debut as an actor and it’s none other than Infinite’s Sungyeol. It was officially announced that he will be making is acting debut in SBS’ upcoming drama, “While You Were Sleeping“, the follow up drama of “Pure Pumpkin Flower.”

A representative from the drama revealed that Sungyeol has been cast as the supporting character on the drama that will air this coming May. He will be playing a character who looks very handsome, owns an expensive house and sits first on the school ranking. He already attended the script meeting last March 25 and will begin filming on April 1.

When a reporter approached Sungyeol regarding his new acting position, he replied, “After completing the auditions for the drama, shortly after I learned that I was confirmed as part of the cast. I’ve been able to take many small roles of a thief, or a delinquent, however now I feel really good with a role that carries a higher prestige.”

I’m really glad that he’s making an acting debut. Hopefully Infinite and himself can gain more attention after appearing in this drama. I’m really excited to watch this drama now.
