Spring weather transitions make today’s Idol Look of the Day outfit a fitting one to wear. The warm but breezy conditions makes it possible to mix in that versatile white blazer on top of any light outfit, like the one Suzy from Miss A has on above for her photoshoot in the April issue of Harper’s Bazaar.
I actually really liked all of her outfits from the shoot, full of pale neutrals and subtle but cute pops of bright Spring-esque colors like liliac, burnt orange, mint, mustard yellow and more. But this one stood out the most with its nice mix of girly and chic, especially with that sharp white blazer, made a bit more casual with the scrunched-up sleeves and unbuttoned arrangement.
The concept was called “Spring Blossom“, which totally works and I can actually hear all of the other outfits calling out to live (and grow…) in my upcoming Spring/Summer closet.
Get the Look:
The White Blazer is the main point for the outfit and since it would be a basic piece you’d wear again and again, it would be worth it to splurge a little for a high quality one that will last. Though you know…working with a student budget makes that not always possible but the options available are still pretty good:
Your feminine outfit underneath can be made easy with a one piece like this Flowers and Ruffles Dress or the tank and light skirt combo that isn’t too hard to find, especially with all the warmer weather clothing collections starting to settle into the stores. Options are pretty open, from simple ones to the more embellished and ruffly for both parts.
Tanks (1 2 3 4 5) and Skirts (1 2 3 4 5) | I think it’s okay to go a bit more print or texture crazy, since it’ll end up peeking out pretty subtly from beneath the blazer.
The knit and fingerless gloves I could go either way, since knit isn’t too bad to wear if Spring hasn’t fully arrived yet, though it’s not that vital to the outfit. Just a fun accessory to add. This Pearl Trim Fingerless Gloves pair is a bit lighter since its made of nylon and won’t make your hands sweat in the sunshine.
The things in my subscriptions…but this one popped up in good timing since it’s pretty close to how Suzy’s hair is and a great casual look with the messy-ish curls. If you have longer hair, the curls won’t be as voluminous together as it is in the video, but it’ll end up closer to how Suzy’s looks. Though either way, it’s cute enough!
