While listening to Rainbow’s So Cool, I instantly remembered another, more popular song: Plain White T’s Hey There Delilah. They’re similar in that the notes to So Cool’s verses are the same as Hey There Delilah, but different when it comes to the chorus. Czech it out:

This of course, is not a plagiarism accusation, just an observation.

What do you guys think? Which do you like better?

It sounds a little similar


This might just be a coincidence. I prefer Hey there Delilah.

I see your point the two songs do share some similarities. Thankfully Rainbow’s song is more upbeat so it should be difficult to argue a plagiarism case. Hopefully.

Not surprising that another Korean idol song sounds like a popular American song. There seems to be quite a few lately.

I guess it’s similar. Rainbow’s So Cool is definitely more upbeat..but after a while, there really is too many songs, and this really might have been coincidental...eh, who knows. I actually have to agree with most people and say that I like Hey There Delilah, just because I really like the song (and the parodies from it XD)

I love Plain White T’s songs..I guess there are some similarities in the musical arrangement but hey that happens all the time in the music industry..just my two cents^*

i can see the similarities in the melody
but the way they presented and the way the background music is created is TOTALLY different

I love hey there delilah! Sounds a bit the same, and i agree alot of kpop songs sounds similar with american or international songs


I thought that there’s nothing in common at first but when it comes to the words “boy~~” then I realize that it’s the same except that they made it a bit pop. oh, it doesn’t matter. LOL. there’s a lot of kpop song that has almost the same sound as english song. but, Kpop hwaiting ^^


yeah I think many kpop song now sounds similar to the mainstream pop or another kpop song


A handful of KPOP songs sound similar to some mainstream pop songs, but when it comes to the chorus, they change it up a bit just to keep things sounding different.
