Kim Kyujong from SS501 was recently confirmed for the role of Prince Shin in the first Japanese production of the musical “Goong” by Group 8. The musical will air from June 11th thru July 1st at the Minamiza Theater in Kyoto, Japan.

Why is this production so special? It will be the the first time that the musical “Goong” hits Japanese borders, as well as the start of going overseas from Korea for showing. As a special treat for fans anticipating this production, promotional images of Kyujong dressed in his princely clothes have been revealed.

Kyujong said, ““It not easy trying to fill the shoes of other actors who have played the role of the prince. Right now, I know I still look a bit awkward donned in the garment of crown prince, I promise to show you my own unique version of Prince Lee Shin.”

I don’t think he looks awkward clad in royalty’s clothing at all! He will work hard and be able to focus on his part very well because he is the only SS501 member who isn’t planning to release a solo album this year like the others. You can do it, Kyujong!
