Ever wonder what big music companies do with their money? Well, here’s a more “what the heck” news of the day: SM Entertainment is planning to build a theme park. All together with me: Say what?!
Well, can you imagine just being in buildings named after your favorite idols or going on rides with pictures of your favorite idols on the seats next to you? Well, SME has partnered up with Fides Development to bring to you the latest and greatest (idol-littered) theme park the world has yet to see: “M City PFV”
This theme park is specifically designed with Korean entertainment in mind and strives to bring two different worlds together. It aims to promote visual culture and entertainment-related tourism. The first project will be in Saejae District on a 35,894 square meter property with hopes of completion for next year. The 888,186 square meter property that will be home to multi-unit complexes for the promotion of visual culture tourism will be located in three different districts. Of course, as with all theme parks, there will be performance halls, spas, water parks, indoor studios, and rides. The main audience will be those from Japan, China, and Southeast Asia.
This. So win. I think. I would love to be there when it opens up! I can envision many people not located in those three areas above to go visit.
