After placing second on the Oricon Daily Charts for the past two days, SNSD’s “Mr. Taxi” has finally surpassed Jang Geunsuk’s “Let Me Cry,” taking the #1 position. In addition, their song has stayed within the top 10 of Japan iTunes and music mobile site, Rocochoku.

Mr. Taxi has been well received in both Korea and Japan, proving their continuing popularity wherever they go.

SNSD will go on their first Japan Arena tour starting on May 31st in Osaka and continuing with Tokyo, Saitama, Hiroshima, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.

I was expecting them to top the charts eventually so I’m not too surprised. It is SNSD after all.
