No, not really. Ningin gives out a lot of prizes. Since the start of 2011, we’ve given out over 100 prizes and we’ve yet to enter May. If you count all the Reward Points giveaways, that’s 200+ prizes. Still, the vast majority of you haven’t won anything. That’s because there has been tens of thousands of contest entries and we’ve added hundreds of thousands of new users to our site and to our Facebook page in the past few months alone. There’s just no possible way for us to give everyone a free album, poster, photobook, or autograph. We’ve been giving out prizes pretty much every day, over multiple sites in our network. We created a system of Reward Points and a Reward Center to use those points so that more people can win. Still, many of you won’t win something right away. So you need to temper your emotions when you don’t win. Please understand that just because you enter a contest, it doesn’t guarantee that you’ll win.

This is obviously only directed at a handful of users. I think most of you understand that Ningin is a popular website with a lot of people entering contests.

I also don’t want you to think that you won’t ever win anything. Besides giveaways, we’ve already issued dozens of prizes via our Reward Center. All you need to do to get Reward Points is be active on this site (contribute to this community) and you can get to pick from almost 100 different prizes currently in our Reward Center.

Please don’t PM/email me, Jinra, or one of the writers about your prize, your prize status, or your prize tracking info. Keep in mind that we give out hundreds of prizes, 347 last year, on pace for more this year. That’s a lot of man-hours spent creating the contests, running them, picking winners, processing winners, and shipping the prizes. I’ve said this before, but we just don’t have the resources to provide real-time data on your prizes. But hey, you just got a highly coveted item for free and you don’t even need to pay for shipping.

Some things to take away here:
-If you’re going to get upset for not winning a prize, you probably shouldn’t enter any more contests.
-If you feel like we’re not doing enough giveaways, then perhaps you’re feeling a sense of prize entitlement.
-If you’re complaining about how we process and ship prizes, then you need to step in our shoes for a day.
