Big Bang’s maknae, Seungri, recently made an announcement on his me2day about an official me2day and Twitter account for ‘Seungri Academy.’ The idol wrote, “May 5th is Children’s Day, all of you children, don’t get sick and become wonderful people^^!!!!! Fighting ㅡ Seungri children ㅡ (Seungri Academy me2day and twitter have been opened)^^ me2day (me2day.net/v-academy) Twitter (@v_academy) Please give them a lot of love.”

A few months ago, 2NE1’s Dara guested on an episode of “Strong Heart” and talked about learning variety show skills from Seungri Academy. Many thought she was joking but apparently, there really is a Seungri Academy!

A recent broadcast of SBS’s “Midnight Entertainment” revealed that Seungri opened a music and dance academy in his hometown of Gwangju. His reason behind Seungri Academy was, “I wanted to invest this money that I earned to have an alternate source of income.” He is even planning on expanding his academy into China!

Wow! This definitely took me by surprise. I’m glad he is being smart about his money though, since he can’t be an idol forever.
