10 Kpop songs that should be banned

Kpop has so many songs it is amazing. There are the occasional songs you listen and see the translation for and think, ‘Oh, but they banned this other song and it wasn’t even this bad,’ …or at least I have. Here are 10 Kpop songs or music videos I personally am surprised are not banned by the strict Korean music industry. The list is in no specific order.

1. Rania’s “Dr Feel Good”.

A few of the lyrics that automatically make me wonder how this song was allowed on music shows would be the English first off. ‘Doctor doctor feel good, come make me feel real good’ and with the dance moves they are pulling out, I am positive they aren’t asking for your average prescription but something much much more.

“My body started shaking like I was waiting for it.”

Hold up a minute, wait, WHAT. I am sorry but in context with the entire song, there is no possible way this is child appropriate.

2. SHINee’s “Get It” .

I am sure many have heard the song and you know the breathy way SHINee dishes out those lyrics. It makes fans squeal, but do parents really want their kids breaking out to, ‘to the end of the night, get it get it get it get it, on?’ Only one thing comes to mind when they say ‘it’ and I would not want my kids getting it on without even knowing what it is.

“Show me yourself, embrace me, let me be your lover,”

As soon as the line ends with ‘lover’ you know what is really behind that entire sentence. “Show me yourself,” really, because you can’t see girls if they are clothed, did not know that. I will just point out one more line that screams inappropriate, “take me whose been thrown into the music.” Take you where………..?

3. T-ara’s “I Go Crazy Because of You”.

“My body is hooked on you, you drive me crazy.”

Now, unless these girls are dating some type of addictive drugs which I highly doubt, they are definitely addicted to something kids shouldn’t try anytime soon. “Feel your senses to my scent,” does anyone even know any possible way that line is not dirty? Now for the last part of the song that seals its should be fate of being banned to kids:
“The two of us, tonight, take it
This moist sensation, make it, fall into my seduction
Your hands and your feet, do it
Throw in your whole body, like it”

I rest my case with this song, no possible way this should have been so popular and shown to kids across Asia.

4. SM the Ballad’s “Hot Times”.

Even ballads aren’t safe to anyone underage. When the song started and I was reading the translations I thought it was alright, nothing out of the ordinary but then they kept singing and when I got around to this line:

“Hot times, when I steal your lips, all of my heart turns to white ashes even when I spend the night up I was still thirsty so I couldn’t stop myself.”

Clearly the entire line is him lusting after her lips and most likely a little more.

“Your scent
And your body heat
Will fill this space completely”

So, it pretty much says she is in his room a lot and they are always close in his room. Is it just cuddling or are they taking part in hot times? Now the final thing I will fully point out is the songs title, “Hot Times.” What do sane people think of when they hear hot times? A drought doesn’t come to my mind. Why would a ballad about love be called hot times, maybe because it is secretly about Hot Times which people under a certain age shouldn’t hear about.

5. Big Bang’s “Lollipop 2″ .

The key part that makes me freak is this:

“Now here she comes, she wants some of my lollipop~
She touching on my body makes me wanna rock~
Now here I come, I’ll give it to her straight up and down
Now here I come, here I come
Come, come, come, come”

If the completely inappropriate version of the final word coming to mind and being repeated 4 times wasn’t enough, the rest of that entire section does it. Get real too, barely anyone at a certain age or older sees a lollipop as a child-friendly treat anymore.

6. 2PM’s “All Night Long” .

“now, relax as I hold you in my arms
close your eyes, and count.. one, two, three, four
as you count to ten, I’ll take you to my room
all night long, baby. all night long, take me
until the sun rises, I want to be with you (baby, i’m yours)”

All night long, with her in his arms, seriously, this didn’t get stamped with the 19+ sticker how?

7. SNSD’s “Baby Baby”.

“Please baby baby baby you are inside me, you came in so deep, afraid you might see my bashful confession.”

Just look at the rest of the lyrics. This song always seemed too happy, that is most likely why nobody questioned the iffy lyrics. The sad thing is, I bet kids LOVED this song because of the cute image it had. Also, stop repeating “Please baby baby baby,” I mean really, what if kids pick that up and just started saying it to everyone. Do you know what that would equal? More babies.

8. Brown Eyed Girls “Abracadabra”.

This song is on the list more for the music video. It has two girls practically kissing in completely racy outfits. The song just talks about a guy that cheats and how she would do anything to get him back from another girl. Seriously, it is just not child-appropriate. I know we all love the dance though, but lets look past that small detail.

9. DBSK’s “Mirotic”.

Don’t get me wrong, hot guys that are practically shirtless with a touch of water aren’t a bad thing, but the fact that this music video did get banned for a bit and have the 19+ sticker slapped on it must have been for some reason. Other than the sex appeal these boys clearly display, Changmin screaming “Yeah~~~~” with the words “come on” aren’t really appropriate. They couldn’t have come up with something more suitable instead of, “Come on?”

10. SNSD’s “Boyfriend”.

“Give It To Me
So Many Boys Wanna Give It To Me
But I Want You Boy Give It To Me
‘Cause I’m So Ready Boy Give It To Me”

Do I really need to say more?

I fully believe a few of those songs should have been totally banned, others just needed a bit of tweaking but nobody told them anything. I don’t understand how some of these songs and music videos didn’t get banned but I can’t really control the Korean rating system.
