Are you ready for summer? I know I am! And I’m ready to relax and spend time with family and friends watching new movies. Here’s a list of some of the Asian movies that will be coming out this summer!

May 26 - Kung Fu Panda 2, starring the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, and others.
The sequel continues off the first Kung Fu Panda with Po now as the Dragon Warrior, defending the Valley of Peace with the Furious Five against an old enemy who has returned with a new dangerous weapon.

May 26 - The Hangover: Part II, starring Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis
After their wild trip in Vegas, Phil, Stu, Alan, and Doug head to Thailand for Stu’s wedding, where things get messy again.

June 9 (Korea) - White, starring Eun-jung, May Doni Kim, Choi Ah-ra, and Jin Se Yun
Girl group “Pink Dolls”, consisting of the characters of the actresses mentioned above, gains immense popularity with their new song “White”, a remake of an older song. However, while they are promoting, the group’s lead singer gets into an accident, and the same happens to each subsequent lead singer. Eun jung believes the song “White” is cursed and is what is causing the problem so she investigates the secret.

June 11 (Japan) - Saya Samurai, starring Jun Kunimura, Masato Ibu, and Itsuji Itao
A retired samurai, Nomi Kanjuro, takes his rebellious daughter, Tae, with him on a 30 day journey to clear him of a crime he has committed.

June 18 - Tokyo Koen, starring Haruma Miura, Nana Eikura, Konishi Manami, and Igawa Haruka
Koji (Haruma Miura) is a college student aspiring to be a photographer. One day, a male stranger asks Koji to help him get a picture of a woman and her daughter, to which Koji agrees. After taking the picture, however, his relationship with the women in his life begins to change.

July 15 - Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, starring Bingbing Li, Jeon Ji-hyun, and Vivian Wu
Based on the novel with the same title by Lisa See, the story is about the strong bond of friendship between two girls in 19th century China.

August 12 - Glee Live! 3D!, starring the cast of Glee
Glee’s concert tour on film, including live performances and also behind the scenes.

August 19 - Conan the Barbarian 3D, starring Jason Momoa
The story of a man seeking vengeance on the warlord who killed his family.

August 31 (Korea) - The Front Line, starring Ko Soo and Shin Ha-gyoon
A movie about a man fighting in the 1951 Korean War and the conflict of determining the border between north and south.
