Today in Korea, May 30th, is SNSD’s Yoona’s birthday! She’s turning 21 (22 in Korea). Im Yoona was born on May 30, 1990 in Daegu, South Korea. She has had experiences as a singer, idol, dancer, actress, and model.

Yoona auditioned for SM at the age of 12, and became a trainee in 2002. She graduated from Daeyoung High School in 2009 and now attends Dongguk University with maknae Seohyun, majoring in theater and music.

As an actress, she has appeared in 9 Ends 2 Outs (2007), Unstoppable Marriage (2008), Woman of Matchless Beauty (2008), You Are My Destiny (2008), and Cinderella Man (2009). She was also a permanent cast on Family Outing 2, as well as appeared in numerous music videos of Super Junior, TVXQ, The Grace, 24/7, and SHINee.

Despite having the role of looks in SNSD, Yoona is known for her “alligator laugh”, as well as “fish face”.
