In one of our recent Daily Rants, we mentioned how fanwars should stop. I suppose it’s a bit ironic that this touching story should come up.
As you may all know, the May 29th episode of SBS Inkigayo featured two artists that were appearing for the (first and) last time on the music show. While 2NE1 performed their hit song “Lonely”, Jay Park was saying farewell with “Tonight.”
SBS Inkigayo allocates a certain amount of seats for each artist’s fans. Over 100 Jaywalkerz showed up, but there was only 20 seats allocated for said fans. Upon seeing this, kindhearted Blackjacks gave up their extra tickets to allow Jaywalkerz to see their favorite boy perform.
After the performance, Jaywalkerz took to their computers and left messages of gratitude and thanks on the forums of DC2NE1’s Gallery, which is the largest Korean fansite for 2NE1.
Aww, so touching! If only all fans were like this to other groups’ fans. Then we’d be seeing no more fanwars! We definitely need more of this in KPOP!
