When news first broke out about Big Bang’s Daesung’s car accident that had possibly left a motorcyclist dead, my jaw dropped. I will say, I’m not a hardcore VIP, but I am a fan of Big Bang and seeing this news shocked me. Then we all got further developments, conflicting developments. First it was just an unfortunate accident, that Daesung hit a parked taxi that hit the motorcyclist. Then the taxi switched back and forth from one lane into another. Now it seems like Daesung may have possibly hit the motorcyclist before hitting the taxi. One way or another, the investigation is still ongoing. But that’s not what saddens me.

What saddens me is fans and anti-fans and anyone who doesn’t fall into that category fighting and bickering amongst each other. I’ve been following the news as best as I can and as I read comments on each article posted, I feel sick to my stomach, furious, upset that fanwars are going on. Anti-fans bashing VIPs for defending Daesung, VIPs caring for both but more for Daesung because they “know” him more. Why so much fighting? This isn’t a time for fanwars and bashing; it’s a time for mourning and needed strength. I mean, imagine what both parties are going through. From what I know, Daesung is one of the nicest, sweetest idols out there. Can you imagine if he were the cause of this? The guilt and remorse hanging over his head would so immense. Yes, it would be a career-ender, but that’s not what he would have to worry about. He was there at the scene, he witnessed it. It’s a traumatizing experience.

Yet, for all that, we get the bashing and the fanwars. This is what I dislike about KPOP. That in times such as these, fans and anti-fans are unable to call truce, call a temporary peace and to bear strength in arms. They don’t come together for one cause. You have antis mocking Daesung, laughing at VIPs and what they all are going through. You have VIPs not only worrying about Daesung, but defending themselves and him from the wrath of antis. It’s just so wrong. And truth is, from what I’ve read, VIPs care just as much for Daesung as they do the motorcyclist. It’s just that they “know” Daesung more, so it seems like they care more for Daesung.

But a life is sacred. What good is gonna come out of this? In this situation, it’s a lose-lose cause for the motorcyclist’s family. No matter what happens to Daesung, the motorcyclist isn’t going to just come back to life. The motorcyclist is GONE. No more in this world. Nothing can change that fact. Instead, we have division and fighting going on.

This is my message for everyone:

To antis: What if your favorite idol was in Daesung’s shoes right now? Would you still be singing the same tune? Of course VIPs are going to try to defend Daesung; that’s just fact. But stop adding oil to the fire. For crying out loud, a life is now gone. We have families hurting. Respect VIPs, respect the dead.

To VIPs: I respect that you are loyal to Daesung and care more about him, but please don’t disrespect the dead. All human lives are precious. It is true that if convicted and found guilty, Daesung’s career is probably over. But remember, a life was taken. That life cannot be given back. If Daesung is found guilty, he will be remorseful and full of guilt for most of his life. The motorcyclist’s family will be saddened that their child was taken from them to early. And if the motorcyclist had a family, the spouse is now widowed, the child has lost a parent. I feel pained for both parties involved.

To everyone else: Please don’t try to incite more fanwars and rage. What we need is a sense of unity, peace, support. If we have fans and antis and everyone else bickering over each other’s comments, it shows that we are divided and right now, both parties don’t need any of us to be fighting. They want support and love, so let’s show them that.

If everyone is so divided right now, just imagine what both parties are going through. RIP to the motorcyclist and my condolences for both families for this is going to be a tough and long road.

And this can be applied to just about any accident an idol gets into that causes a death or serious injury.

*cries* Your words have touched me ;__; I am a hardcore V.I.P. and this whole situation just saddens me so much. When I think about Daesung crying it makes me wanna cry too T.T I really wished that it wouldn’t have happened, of course, because there’s si much remorse on each party >.<

People need to stop with assumptions and just wait for an official statement. When the news first came out, people just assumed that Daesung was drunk, it really annoyed me.

Well, I guess this is the ugly side of Kpop : fans wars~ They really shouldn’t do it before official result is out. Both Daesung (and Big Bang) and the victim’s family will be hurt~

Dae Sung and the victim are just so unlucky..maybe that’s their fate..RIP

I’ve seen a lot of negative comments about Daesung so far and i’m pretty surprised to see that even Daesung has antis. He’s facing the worst time of his life and i’m sure he’s still feeling upset about it.

He needs support. Please, no more fanwars. I hope everything is gonna be fine soon. Keep him in your prayers

I like this. Every word is true

OMG!! Emily, you go girl!!
You totally just posted what I was thinking! ^^
I totally agree with you.
Fanwars and rage really needs to stop.
Someone died...this isn’t a reason to start or mock anyone....

Emily, right now I love you so much! I agree with everything you said!!!!

Fan wars, are very unnecesary at this times. Well, i actually don’t think it’s necessary for any matter anyway..
I just hope justice will be served and all parties can be at peace~

Totally agree with you. this fan war is totally unnecessary. the news itself is very distressing and all this fan wars are making things worse…

I completely agree with your statements! I am a VIP and I love Daesung, but if he is charged with homicide, then I won’t start fights and such attacking the law and justice system.  And as I have said before, even though we should worry for Daesung’s condition, we should also equally worry for the motorcyclist’s family and how they’re dealing with this tragedy.  I do sincerely wish no more “wars” will erupt out of this, and I hope everything is resolved peacefully and the mystery of the motorcyclist’s death solved. ^_^

Very nicely said...whatever happens to Daesung, I hope it won’t affect the group too much :( Big Bang wouldn’t be Big Bang without him…

I definitely agree with what you’re saying. People should be considerate of what they are saying especially when someone has lost their life. Ah, I hope Daesung is holding on through this, I feel like he’s a person who would hold a lot of this inside himself. And I hope the investigation and issues resolve soon and that we can learn the real truth no matter what it is.

hope aeverything will be fine. No One wants this to happen.

its so sad, to both Daesung and the person that died. Fans and antis should just leave this isssue alone until its all figured out and over, no need to fight about this

that is so true… this is also what i dislike about kpop… the antis (and the rabid fans, too).. it just makes every issue whether simple or major into a war where in the end, NO ONE WINS.
my deepest condolences to the motorcyclist’s family. God bless..

i just wish everything would be resolved soon
my condolences to the motercyclist ):
and i hope daesung doesnt go to jail ):

What is it with Ningin writers and saying what’s going through my head...?

tbh emily i completely agree with you
right now kpop wars that are going on need to stop, its like when those people where shot by north korea and everyone was like
OH NO THE MUSIC SHOWS ARE CANCELLED… who cares about kpop when a life has been taken? ok I am concerned about poor daesung i bet he is feeling the lowest of the low if he was the reason the man died (RIP) everyone would its going to haunt him for the rest of his life.
but at the same time antis shud shut up if they are just teasing at the VIPs its stupid kpop wars shudnt be happening right now, everyone should just be praying for the family of the man and also praying strength to daesung

everything you said here is totally how i feel about it right now

i read the news and it said that the motorcyclist was in the road already hit by a previous hit and run and the taxi came to help the motorcyclist and i think daesung hit the taxi…
VIP’s are concerned with both parties but they couldn’t hold it in when antis are calling Daesung a murderer..
RIP motorcyclist!! T_T

I would be very sad if what happened caused Daesung to stop preforming.
I don’t know what I’d do if that happened to me… I feel terrible that people are fighting over something that should not cause people to seem to not care. We should all be more concerned over the life that was lost and not about trivial fan wars. My heart goes out to both parties, but I cannot say whether or not he is innocent or not.

i hope it would just stop. sigh. no one knows what he’s going through but i’m pretty sure he’s sad about what happened.:/

You’re 100% right; it’s just not appropriate to be arguing. What struck me the most is that the motorcyclist is dead and Daesung must be sick with guilt and remorse. To be in the shoes of anyone involved and their families is unimaginable.
I’m a VIP, but I’m waiting on the facts. Whether Daesung is innocent or not, I have no idea and neither should any VIP. We can’t just defend because we have some sort of loyalty to him. We can support and love him because we are loyal, but we can’t fight in their name or claim their innocence.
Good luck to Daesung and my condolences to the motorcyclist’s family.

i agree w u the whole way~
this whole thing confuses me. :’(
RIP motorcyclist…
v.v to his family…
nd hopes daesung stands strong thru this…

im with u too!! antis fans mocking Daesung!! but what if ur Daesung and ppls mocking how u would u feel?? i know some VIP dont really care for the motorcyclist but if the motorcyclist was one of ur family how would u feel?? hope they come to together and hope for the best
